Which when heated to a high temperature (800-850 degree Celcius), the glass melts and fuses with the metal.” It’s one of the three ancient fired arts besides Pottery & Glass and due to the materials involved, it’s perfect for Interiors & Exteriors. Enamel has an inherent sheen and strength to it, which just enhances its tactile quality. This workshop will be an introduction to how through centuries artists have been fusing glass with metal and producing exquisite pieces of art. You'll be working with Copper and learning how to mold it and apply powdered glass as paint to create your own jewelry. Each piece will be fired 2-3 times, giving the artwork its glass sheen and weatherproof quality. Smriti will be guiding you throughout the session, working with each participant individually.
